22nd volume to include DVD; Tomoko Ninomiya returns to manga after pregnancy
This year's sixth issue of Kodansha's Kiss magazine has announced (and Mangaoh Club's retail website has confirmed) on Tuesday that the 22nd volume of Tomoko Ninomiya's Nodame Cantabile manga will bundle an original animation DVD (OAD) on August 10. The manga follows two music students who drive themselves and each other to greater artistic heights in Japan and later Europe. The same sixth issue also marked the return of Ninomiya after she took a break due to her pregnancy and subsequent carpal tunnel syndrome.
The Nodame Cantabile: Paris anime sequel aired in Japan from October to December, and another television series has been green-lit for this fall. two live-action films were later announced for release in 2010. Del Rey published the 16th of the 21 current volumes of the manga in North America last month.
